Trader2Trader Terms of Use

1. The service
Trader2Trader provides a marketplace and supporting tools for vehicle dealers, including stock management, vehicle adverts, separate Trade and Retail context features, secure messages, Trade offers, notifications and Part Exchange enquiries. Trader2Trader is a platform provider. A listing dealer, not Trader2Trader, is responsible for its own vehicle listing, price, availability, description and transaction decisions unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Users must provide accurate account and dealership information, protect their credentials and use the service only for legitimate business purposes. Dealer marketplace access may require trader-insurance evidence or a valid internal trusted-dealer bypass code. Verification may be automatic where current evidence clearly meets the published technical criteria, or may remain subject to human fallback where evidence is unclear or concerning.
Users are responsible for activity under their account and for keeping their contact information current. A bypass code creates a normal verified dealer account only; it does not confer administrator, provider, database or other privileged access.
3. Listings, content, messages and offers
Users must not submit unlawful, misleading, infringing, abusive, discriminatory, fraudulent, harmful or otherwise inappropriate listings, messages, photographs, documents or other content. Dealers must have authority to advertise a vehicle and must take reasonable care that the information they provide is accurate. Vehicle-data and MOT information may be supplied by third-party providers and may be unavailable, incomplete or inaccurate; users must verify information independently before relying on it.
Trade and Retail functions are separate. Retail users must not receive private Trade pricing, CAP-related information, Trade notes, offers or dealer administration data. Users can report concerning messages and block a conversation participant. Trader2Trader may review reports and take proportionate action to protect users, enforce these terms or comply with law.
Trade offers are dealer-to-dealer marketplace communications. They do not themselves create a completed vehicle sale, finance agreement or other binding transaction unless the relevant parties separately agree one.
4. Retail activity, Part Exchange and external services
Retail enquiries and Part Exchange submissions are enquiries for the relevant dealer and do not create a binding purchase, sale, valuation or finance agreement. Any HPI or vehicle-check link is an external service and is not represented as a native Trader2Trader vehicle-check product. Users should review the relevant external provider’s terms and privacy information before using it.
5. Suspension, termination and deletion
Trader2Trader may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law or enforce these terms. Users may initiate deletion through the available account controls or the public Account Deletion page. Certain records may be retained where required for security, legal, audit, dispute or transaction-history purposes.
6. Intellectual property, availability and legal terms
Users retain responsibility for content they upload and must have all necessary rights to use it. The service, branding and platform materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Service availability may be affected by maintenance, third-party services, security measures or events outside Trader2Trader’s reasonable control.
The final solicitor-reviewed version must add the operating legal entity, commercial terms, fees/taxes/refunds where applicable, liability and warranty provisions, governing law, jurisdiction and formal complaint details.
